    thrusters

Kept the wire the same size but Crimped and shrunk as you say, it was about 3 ft the original wire gets about 1/2 way across the swim platform, and the Ibox I put on the shelf in the lazarette.

    thrusters

For the out of water yes that's all you need, the wrench I needed was 1"13/16" to mount the unit, all the rest can be done back in the water, drill through Transom Make sure you oversize and glass the hole, and the re drill smaller hole, as the transom is cored.. I had a Connection in the swim...

you need to clean out the swim platform of the foam and ours was offset to port (would not make a difference either way) Batteries I had 2 plus the generator battery in the aft cockpit locker and The I Box shout off and control were all back there I installed a stand alone Charger for the...

Heads up for the Rideau 2024 season

I would say 14ft we have a couple of fly bridge cruisers in our Marina and it's a no go

Heads up for the Rideau 2024 season

They want the roadway functional as soon as the Bridge is fixed as it is a busy route in the summer for tourists to Kingston, and only having 1 opening for traffic going North and south is a recipe for an accident.

Heads up for the Rideau 2024 season

Just an update it looks like they are going to dismantle the fixed bridge and let out the commercial traffic and then close it back up, as of today the engineers are still assessing the damage and no forward work has started, which if all went well will be unlikely to open before mid summer if...

New to Great Lakes Cruising and in Need of Guidance

Just a heads up that the Rideau for anything over a Bungalow is going to be hard this year as the LaSalle Causeway has had some very significant damage done to it during the winter rebuild, and now construction has stopped and no date is being given for continuing - let alone completion, 3 Tour...

Heads up for the Rideau 2024 season

The Causeway is Closed - the fixed bridge is to the east of the causeway, and at high water has clearance of about 11ft, we are a Sundancer 38 and Fit with about 1ft above our Radar on the hardtop, if you have a flybridge it will not pass.

Heads up for the Rideau 2024 season

Just a heads up for those that might be planning a Trip up the Rideau from Kingston, if you have a fly bridge you will not be able to pass through the Lasalle Causeway, It is being rebuilt and 2 weeks ago there was an incident that has severely compromised the structure, as it was originally...

Mainship 390 - diesel heater location

Not sure why you would want to - but if you did, then anywhere in the bilge with a proper venting/Exhaust passage and then tie into the existing heat ac duct work running through the boat, best marine heater is an Espar, The marine kit is allot more than the Truck version, available from any...

Totally agree that the lock should not have moved, until the situation was resolved Unfortunately for Guys like us who were behind them that would have been pretty unfair. Dave, the Lock staff as you know try very hard to be accommodating and unfortunately the owners would not comply (we were at...

Sorry RT yes that was my point she makes sure she does not effect the system by paying to transit early and alone and docks without taking up all the dock space. I think we can all agree a safe size for the Rideau and Trent is about 45 ft with 4ft of depth. I know you know the Rideau well, can...
