O ring for Groco ARG-2000 sea strainer cap

I am failing at finding what the replacements should be for the two O rings that are on the sea strainer cap for the Groco ARG-2000. Can anyone help a confused old man?

    Is Autopilot Necessary In PNW?

Not a necessity, but I would make sure to put one on any boat that I owned if it didn't have one already.

LifePo4 in the engine room. Heat considerations?

I have one of those on my boat. The idea was to send battery information from the batteries to the Victron Solar Charge controller. Due to issues related to cabling, the charge controller is in the pilothouse. The batteries at in the after lazarette. The bluetooth range isn't good enough for...

    Value of a Captain's Door?

When I was first looking at moving from a sailboat to a trawler, one of my requirements was a full walk-around deck. Second requirement was the lack of a flybridge. I ended up getting a boat without walk-around decks and a flybridge. My point is to try and be open as you look. You may be...

Waxed non skid with starbrite non skid wax and still slippery

I have used Woody Wax in the past and the recommendations for it are to rinse it down afterwards really well after it dries. I would try that and then using a soft boat brush on it with a rinse and letting it dry.

Seattle, new to trawling, excited to learn all the diesel things

My general recommendation is to use the filters that the engine manufacturer recommends. What I have been doing is to change one of the primary filters every year. I select one of the primary filters to use (not Both). I use that for a year, then replace it and switch to using the other...

    screw mounting in cored deck

Quick update: I have the two rear chocks mounted. It seems to have worked well. I started on the forward chocks today. I found a surprise. The Boat deck has a plywood sandwich. I was expecting this on the forward chocks as well. However, the first hole I drilled I ran into a honeycomb core...

    screw mounting in cored deck

I was using thickened epoxy. I may have misspoke. I used 404 thickener. However, it wasn't super thick. I may have done better if I had used a bit more of the 404 to make it thicker. I ended up cleaning the amine as Commodave suggested and the result was good. So far I have the two aft...

Depth sounder offset. True or depth beneath keel????

Mine is set at water under keel. I have a sticker on the sounder display reminding me of that. - In the Salish Sea, most of the time we have lots of water. For those times when it is shallow, I want to know how much between the bottom and my keel. - Water under the keel doesn't depend on...

Seattle, new to trawling, excited to learn all the diesel things

Welcome from another former sailor (my little sailing dinghy doesn't count). When you get back out there after checking all the systems, I would offer one other little word of advice. Avoid big wind against the current. The trawler is not a sailboat and doesn't handle rough weather nearly as...

    screw mounting in cored deck

It is a long and old thread so your confusion is understandable. No acceptable (to my wife) access to the underside of the deck. I wanted to be able to use bolts screwed into the deck to mount the hardware. I considered, and rejected, using a drill and tap method, in favor of the casting...
