We have a 1979 34' Mainship trawler that we have refurbished. We'[[ be cruising on it till August and will put it up for sale. Great cruising boat, lots of upgrades.

You may lose the signal if the water gets too churned up due to wind and wave action.

I have a 1979 34' MK I Mainship trawler with the Perkins 6.354 engine. My starter motor just went bad and the repair shop said water was getting into it and I should check the freeze plug for corrosion. Has anyone ever dealt with this? Where is the plug located? Thanks

I had a welder cut one end link, pry it open, insert the link for the addition, close it up and weld the cut closed. Seemed to work.

I had a Vetus Bow Thruster on a previous boat (Albin 32+2) and now have a Sideshift stern thruster on our 1979 34' Mainship. I found the bow thruster moved the boat around more but am now getting used to the stern thruster and am quite pleased. The Sideshift was much less money.

screws So up forward along the bow, they were screwed into the hull? I can see screwing them up and down along the bulkhead. Thanks

We have a 34' mainship MK I trawler and want to divide the forward chain locker into two parts. Looking for anyone who might have done something like this. Access from the v-berth is somewhat limited and I'm trying to figure out how to get something in there and then have it supported. Thanks

Texas to FL Be advised that the route across Lake Okeechobee to the Florida east coast will be closed from 1/4 - 4/4 for lock repair.

Lake crossing I second spending the night at Roland Martin's Marina. Do the main route thru the center, not the rim route. A good GPS helps a lot as some of the markers are a way off and hard to see. When you get to the east side, Indiantown marina is close by.

Vic's AC/DC Electric in Stuart, FL is excellent at rebuilding.
