    Fuel Gauge - 2001 Mainship 34 Pilot

Another option to get completely full, and as suggested above, to go to the fuel dock when not busy, and have them hose both sides of the boat at the same time, to take the crossover out of the scenerio. I personally have no reason to have 170 vs 175 gallons overall. Fuel dock is very convenient.

Another question, why do you have a stbd and port tank switch, since there is a crossover line to both tanks, they will be relatively close.......I realize you have a NexGen 3.5, but the difference still should be negligible, No??

    Fuel Gauge - 2001 Mainship 34 Pilot

Gotcha, My Start and thruster banks are separate since I have bow and stern thrusters, 2/6v for the thruster bank and group 31 for the start, these all came with the boat when I bought it, and still holding strong, so no reason to change them out until I have a reason! As you know my house is 2...

Rich, You have some nice upgrades there on your panel! I like the Start/House voltage switch. Are the Start and Thruster banks combined in that switch, or is the thruster bank, just not listed there? Or is there a parallel to bring in the thrust bank if need to start? That window wash button is...

    Towing inflatable Mainship 30

David, When we had our 43' Bluesea, we cruised at 9 knots, and towed a 13' whaler with a 30 honda behind us, 2nd wave. The whaler was up on full plane, and the boat didn't know it was back there. Speed would remain the same weather we were towing or not.

Does it look like this? Steam! 6LPA 2800 RPM, 15 knots

    Towing inflatable Mainship 30

For those interested in doing this, I spent some time trying to figure out the best config that would complement my 30’ Pilot II with the 6LPA. I wanted a console style dingy but small and light enough to keep behind the boat in the slip, and tow without causing the boat to struggle or stress...

    Pilot 30 -Trim

Like Rich said, I too have added chain to my anchor system, now I have 135' of 1/4" G4 chain with 300' of Rode, (We anchor a lot deeper here in the west) I also tow a 300# Center Console Inflatable behind me, my exhaust stays just barely above the water, it's normal, assuming you are fully...

    Solar arch frame installed

How do you heat water and use appliances without the generator? Assuming you are not carrying ton's of LI batteries? What about cloudy day's? I have solar, and a portable genny, cloudy day's does not support my Load needs from Solar, thus the portable genny.

Looking for convenient pump for dewatering bilges other than hand pump

I used the same pump. I keep one for pulling excess bilge water out, below the bilge capabilities, and one for transfering fuel to the dingy and generator. 2 D Batteries lasts a couple of months with frequent use.
