    Dingy lights

Unless the maximum speed to the dinghy does not exceed 7 knots - In that case, only an all around white light is required.

    Alternator spikes

Check that all connections are clean and tight with no corrosion and ground leads are the same. If it persists, then I'd consider the voltage regulator.

    shaft alignment after transmission repair

First - Shaft alignment should always be done with the boat in the water - And in the water for at least a week after being on the hard. Second - 8" and 2"? I think there was a miscommunication, or they had unbolted the engine mounts and moved the engine when the transmission was removed...

We suspect my high protein diet keeps clogging toilet - HELP

I am also a fitness enthusiast on a high protein diet and no issues with clogging the head at home or on the boat. I'd suggest either upgrading your head or check with your doctor for other potential remedies.

    fridge "dripping tray" frozen

You may want to check the condenser coil for dirt / debris blockage. Poor airflow may cause the ice issue.

    Saloon Stereo

We have a Sonos system at home and are very happy with it. Until now, we've made do with various Bose bluetooth speakers but am thinking about moving to the Sonos Move 2 speakers but will likely skip the sub woofer. A little too much for use in the marina and waaay too much when anchored out.

    Non-skid

I'm definitely not trying to be mean, but maybe you should practice your technique in stepping down in to your dinghy? The only way you fall on the floor is if you don't land square on the bottom with no longitudinal force, and cushion your impact. So at the gym, check out the large square boxes...

    What size windlass

I'm just completing the installation of a Maxwell RC12HD, so no operational feedback to offer. However, initial impressions are that the unit was packed very well, appears to be of exceptional quality and has very strong performance specifications. They also make a non-HD model that will save...

    Chain life in fresh water

Or you could just say screw it and go for the stainless, if for no other reason that its pretty! I just made that decision and bought 60' of CROMOX 1/2" stainless G43 and had it spliced to 250' of 8 plait for our new Maxwell RC12HD. Almost all of our anchoring is in less than 20', so all of the...

    Applying captains varnish 1015

If refinishing bare wood, I suggest folling the recommendation on the can to thin the first coat with 333 brushing liquid. I have ttied with and without and with is definitely better. Even a second or third coat with the diluted finsh before building heavier layers works well.
