Am ripping out all existing waste hoses on our early fiberglass vintage GB 42 Classic and considerting some changes to reduce hose lengths and elimiate low spots they way it is currently configured.

Am curious how other sister-ship vessels are set up.
For owners of similar vintage GB 42s:

How many waste holding tanks do you have and where are they located?
Do you have manual or electric heads?
Do you flush with seawater or freshwater?

Thank you

I have what appears to be a non-typical arrangement. Single holding tank between the engines. 80 gal apparently. I have 2 electric heads (raw water flush). Our cruising takes us frequently to offshore waters where we can discharge overboard.
Apologies for poor quality of pics. First pic looking fwd, second looking aft.

As regards tankage:

Pros:
Large capacity
Single tank (reduced plumbing for discharge)
Short hose run from aft head
On centreline (does not change trim)
Leaves good access around outboard of engines (where other tank locations typically are)

Cons:
Reduced headroom when between engines.
Longer hose run from fwd head (but no longer than some other arrangements I have seen)
