Hey Pappy, How fortunate your boat showed up as a "featured" picture today. It answers a bunch of questions I had. My boat is a 36 foot Albin, often mistaken for a Marine trader. It is older, a 1978. Like several contributors on T.F. I have given up on the exposed teak, it has officially beaten me. I have spent the last week scraping and painting exposed teak, really looks good so far. The questions you have answered for me are the wide stripe at the eyebrow, mine is teak, I can't really tell if yours is wood or just painted but it looks great, I will be painting mine. I also like the look of the painted trim at the forward cabin. My oval port lights are brass or bronze so I will leave them alone. The rule of thumb I am following is that if the teak has ANY function it gets painted white, if it is mostly decoration, it gets painted green. My hand rail and cap rail are now white, the rear swim platform steps are white, mostly everything else is green.

I'll post pictures when the project is done. I dod not take any "before" pictures because the teak was so awful looking I didn't want to acknowledge ownership.
