It was all set for last September but was canned, so we carried our registration over to this year's event. Both the DeFever monies and the hotel are fully refundable. So no risk to booking and cancelling later. We will wait a while before booking air.

Um, did you read #1? To qualify you had to do a non-stop of 1000+ nm.

Well, we could based on length and range. However I just estimated the run from the bottom end of Long Island to the mouth of Mayport, which is the longest non-stop we would probably do anytime soon, and it is only 584nm.
