Took a break from Trawler Forum for a bit, but I came back today and I'm really enjoying the new look! It's great to see how the community has evolved and the fresh updates to the site.

This is our second season cruising in Alaska, and it's been an incredible journey so far. Right now, we're in Sitka, spending our summer exploring the breathtaking beauty of Baranof Island. The scenery is stunning, and the wildlife encounters have been unforgettable, not to mention getting to know some of the many good people of Alaska.

I hope everyone here is doing well and enjoying their cruising adventures. Looking forward to catching up here on the forum. Safe travels and happy cruising to all!

Looks like Cannery Cove in Pybus Bay? Been going through withdrawals after selling our boat and ending 33 years of SE Ak cruising.

We are starting to plan our Alaska boating trip in a Bayliner 3988. Would love to hear how you planned your trip, where you stopped for the nights, must see, what to avoid....... harborseal15@aol.com if you have it on a spreadsheet.

We are leaving La Paz in just a few months (February or early march) and heading north to Alaska as well, in our Bayliner 4788.

This will be broken down into two cruising seasons. The first stage is to explore the Pacific Coast as far as Victoria BC next season, and then wait for spring, enjoying Victoria over the winter.

Then we head up to Alaska in April, and return to Canada that fall, overwinter again, and head home to La Paz the next summer, which will be season three I suppose.

Can't stay away, eh?
Too funny!!!

We are probably not going to make it to my old cruising grounds in Prince William Sound, but will explore southeast Alaska in depth.

The idea for this cruise is to thouroughly explore the entire Pacific Coast, spending a week or so in each port before continuing on. This will be mixed with regular trips back to La Paz where Vicky has her bakery to look after, and family to visit.
