Replace Engine for Sundowner Tug

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
With a boat requiring such little HP to cruise I would play the numbers to cruise on the bottom of the engine builders reccomended RPM,

1200 if it was allowed or 1500 which is more common on tiny engines , that would be my LRC cruise goal.

The pleasure of quiet shake free long term highly efficient operation would be worth the numbers crunch.

Just try to find the Prime Genset operation specks for the engine . many run 1200 for decades.

Anode, would you Pease send me the make and model of your engine and tran. And prop size and pitch. And is you sundowner tug a 30?

Try contacting Anode directly either by the address he showed in his post on this thread or use the email feature of this site.
He has not been active since ~ 2015. I expect he no longer frequents the site.

I know this is 10 years after the last response but I am looking to remove the Pathfinder in my Sundowner 30. I am curious to know what others who have replaced the engine have done to remove it thru openings in the floor and the pilot house doors, both of which seem narrow for the size of the Pathfinder.
