Got an Onan gasoline genny and trying to find a mechanic in the Myrtle Beach area to come out and repair it. From what I'm told all it needs is a diode. Any help here would be appreciated.
 
If it's an MCCK model and you end up doing some troubleshooting yourself, send me a PM and I can send over a bunch of info that might be helpful.

It's an MCE. The last guy who worked on it left and said all it needed was a diode. I could rebuild the engine, but when it comes to electrics I fall pretty short. You would think with a preponderance of power boats here in Myrtle Beach a mechanic would be easy to find...
