A friend put zipwakes on his 32’ Bayliner and was impressed which is saying something since he both owns a boat dealership and a service yard.

We use both systems on new builds and IMO they work about the same with no warranty issues noted over the last five years.

I have a friend with a Humphree fin stabilization system and he is having a lot of trouble with it, and with support from Humphree.

I have ZipWakes. 4 units. I like them. They help keep the bow down and help with fuel efficiency on the rare occasions when I run at higher speeds (9-13 knots). HOWEVER, it seems I have to replace a solenoid actuator every 2-3 years. A $500 part. While this is disappointing, it does not make me regret buying them.

At the slower speeds that (fast) "trawlers" operate at conventional trim tabs are more efficient than interceptors (Zipwake/Humphree) Have you considered replacement with Bennet trim tabs. Bennetts have a very high level of reliability and support

I'll agree that the Bennett tabs are reliable. Mine are about to turn 39 years old. The control switch has been replaced twice and some of the wiring has been replaced, but all of the basic components have held up great.
