I will be close to my friends bot for couple of weeks.
He has Starlink.
If he gives me has password and my WIFI sees him, can I use his Starlink ?
I would tip him some cash.

Absolutely, he probably won't even notice your usage.

Well. If he has the 50gB roam plan and you watch HDTV 24/7, he is going to notice. It depends.

I routinely share my Starlink with other cruisers. Just like any other wi-fi hotspot such as Starbucks. You need the network ID and the password.

When we were in Huatulco MX, a crusty old Frenchman on a wooden sailboat came in. He had sailed nonstop from Coos Bay Oregon!!!! I have him my Starlink credentials. He offered me money - I told him to pay it forward (stock answer for me)

I share my starlink with a few friends. It’s shocking how far away they can be and get a good signal. I never even notice they are on the system despite having three different TV’s streaming at the same time.

Funny, after sharing my starlink most people decide they need their own.
