97/350 Twin Volvos. Fuel sending unit.

1997 Mainship 350
97/350 Twin Volvos. Need to replace the starboard diesel tank's sending unit. Anyone out there replace theirs ? Does it work well and what make/model?
 
The fuel level sender has nothing to do with the engine make or model - just in case you thought that. I would guess that Mainship used the same make of tank sender in your Mainship as they did in mine - WEMA/KUS. They come in a number of different lenghts to suit the tank.
 
I have had good luck with Wema senders. As said above it doesn’t matter about engines.
 
I used a generic adjustable sender from West Marine. Inexpensive and works fine in my 97 MS350. A note, they placed my port sender in a position that after the tank was installed, it was impossible to remove due to no head room. Luckily there was a second empty hole that I cud put the replacement in.
 
Another note, my '97 MS350 has the standard VDO gauges. I assumed that is what you have.
