36 GBC davit Hi, yes I did buy the 1987 36 GBC and very pleased , the davit system was an easy fix as well, just moved the one bracket that was set up for a 8 foot boat and adjusted for my 10 foot

Wii do, the sea wise system is already in place on the 36GB with a lighter arrangment so I may just need to move a bracket and I may reinforce the current setup with 1 5/8 stailess strut under the swimstem as it will incorperate more strenght over mre swimstep rails Thanks Ray

Yes, the sea wise davit sysytem piviots and you can secure the engine in the position it should be while stored, and yes a 9.9hp or the 15hp 4 stroke are fun to man handle ! this is the tender I plan on installing on the 36 Grand Banks Thanks Ray

Hi, so sometimes I get the attachment paper clip and sometimes not , I will just have to play with it, going for the survey this Monday and getting pretty excited, seems in my mind I am only doing the survey stuff for insurance etc, but I still need to know as I do know better than to buy...

so I am still trying to upload pictures so bear with me, your set up look like the one on the 36 that we maybe buying and I would just swap my own tender for that one as I have a bench seat and steering console so add about an extra 100 lbs for that so would be 400 lbs

If I were to replace the support or just add more I would consider using 1 5/8 stainless steel strut, it is veru strong and I am familar with it as I used this a lot as an electrician building support for everything, I can also utilize angle brackets with stainless hard ware, pretty much bullet...

Totally get where everyone is going, the Sea Wise davit system I have is built to handle the weight of my tender which I estimate around 380 lbs, I pulled it off of my last boat and my use it if the setup on the 36 GB is not of the heavier stuff, as I mentioned the current setup on the 36 GB...

    Berth Conversion

Wowser, so I know the 36 does not have as much space but it would be a nice conversion, this is a great job from obviously a finish carpenter !

I was also wondering if the extra weight on the back of the 36 Grand Banks Classic could affect the trim ?? Thanks Ray Rodolf

So looking at a 1987 36ft Grand Banks Classic, the boat has a tender on a Seawise davit system, 9.9 4 stroke outboar and a fiberglass bottom with inflatable chambers, proably weighs 230 lbs, I have another tender that has a steering console and would probaby add 120 lbs so total of 350lbs, does...

Thanks for the elevation info, I will first stop at our guest dock and lower any bimini restrictions and mast then go to my boathouse and from there I can confirm how I can enter without restrictions Thanks Ray Rodolf

    GB newbie questions

Yes, the bow thruster with a single is almost as good as twins for docking, apparently the current owner removed stock proper in thruster for some newer blade confiruation that actully increased the thrust, looking forward to using for docking, the mast set up is possibly a great way to drop...

    Berth Conversion

I will as I will need to attend to more critical systems if need be first, however I have just recently sold a boat that had what I call a coffin berth in which case you had to literally snake out around your partner and 2 small dogs to go pee and not fun, so will review the 2 bunk layout in the...

I am going to see the boat on Sunday and will take a picture, if this system works well I will need to buy new stainless steel struts (Shocks) as the old ones maybe failing !

    Berth Conversion

Oh, the conversion to a queen birth would be awesum, I am in the process of buying an 87 36 Grand banks Classic and that would be way better than the current setup, we are actually going to the Boat haven yard for haul out and survey on the 18th of April Did you do the conversion yourself or...

    GB newbie questions

Hi, going for a survey, haul out and sea trial on a 87 36 Grand banks classic, single 120 Leaman and a bow thruster, very solid and well maintained boat, I am hoping all goes well as I am getting excited, the mast has a 2 piston hydralic set up about 2/3 down from top and looks like it would...
