Anybody have issues with a Brower Systems Davit Crane?

I noticed you are in Canada, is there a shop that services those hoisting motors? I heard that most of the motors/parts built for davit cranes were made by Rule, and discontinued their whole production line (newest stuff is hydraulic). I'll called Brower and I'm waiting for a reply, but I want...

Anybody have issues with a Brower Systems Davit Crane?

I'm in the market to buy a used davit crane and want to make sure there are no hidden surprises. I'm sure the material/craftsmanship is good, but have there ever been any issues with the hoisting winch? I'm currently looking at the EC 600 and 800 electric models. Any info or experiences would be...

    Wanted: Davit Crane-Need asap

Thank you for the response, but the davit you have won't work with the application I'm trying to use it for.The davit needs to be able to reach past my swim step from my upper deck, at least 8 feet so the dingy doesn't hit the boat while hoisting. Again, thanks for the reply and sorry that I...

Need a list of under 40' full displacement boats

Yes, yes (33,000 lb displacement), and I will definitely get more pics...and to comment on what NWboater stated, the stability of a FD is very noticeably on those rough days. The wife and kids feel extremely safe and this is key.

Currently own a 40' FD Bluewater Pilothouse Trawler. It has a single 146 hp diesel Bedford (the oldest good running motor I've ever seen, possible re-power in the future), over 1000 nm range, and plenty of things to keep me busy :thumb: Currently doing a full int/ext restoration and looking...

I was in your same situation and found that the only true way to see the extent of the damage (if any, but likely) is to take up a section of teak and check. Get a multi-tool and cut it out, and if you can scratch out the wood with your finger, you know it's big $$$$. Good luck. -Josh
