I don't think they'd appreciate being referred to as "kids". They are not. They have serious, and sometimes, extremely dangerous jobs and I'm glad they're out there with arms. They may be younger than you, but anyone in the military cannot still be considered a "kid".

Agreed, never more than 10-15 minutes (unless you're waiting to get to the dock), and I've done it probably no less than 25 times. However, U.S customs is a different story. Voluntarily running at night there? Not no way, not no how.
