    Chestertown, MD

Well it was fantastic. The scenery up and down the river was so UNSPOILED. Beautiful homes and farms line both sides, no development, not a single condo or factory. It was breathtaking. I'm sure it will be even better in September when not so hot. Don't let the season end without going. The...

What our boats say about us

Our sundeck/cockpit Taiwanese 42' meets all the criteria, she was sold to us as a Fu Hwa but I see them on the west coast as Pacific Trawler or Nova Sundeck. 1986 under $100,000.

How far have you been in your Coastal Cruiser?

We bought the boat in Manteo NC, brought her up to the Chesapeake in April and are now discovering the bay. I'm thinking a lifetime is not enough time for that. Ultimately in a few years when I retire we will go south to the Florida Keys, Bahamas, Belize and ultimately through the panama...

    Chesapeake boaters

Thank you for your suggestions. I will try them all. We love a good restaurant destination and have big dogs that don't dinghy well so dock and dine or marinas work best for us.

    Chesapeake boaters

Thanks Moonstruck, we have done St. Michaels for lunch, tried Waterman's in Rock Hall this past Saturday, great crabs (and air conditioning), we have also done Annapolis and Baltimore. Wondering about "unknown gems" up the Chester or other closeby waterway.

    Wood interiors

The previous owner used liquid gold on our teak and she gleams with good health. It smells "teaky" but the pledge orange looks interesting.

    Sea Ranger 47

We admired your boat for sale when we bought our "Fu Hwa" in January, the west coast/east coast problem kept us from looking further. We lucked out, love our girl, thank god for a crappy economy we got her for a lovely price. Like the Sea Ranger that began the thread, she was clean, well kept...

    Bringing home our new boat

She IS a FHB, a 42, her cockpit was the thing all the others were missing when we looked at them... we didn't know until we saw hers.. what we really wanted but hadn't found :} We were like "ahhhhhh" got it.

    Chartering in the Caribbean

We did "Trawlers in Paradise" in the BVI. Grand Banks weren't kept in the best shape but it gave us the trawler bug which now appears to be incurable.

Yikes, this was the first part of our voyage home... much better after that. 260 miles from the Albermarle sound to the Upper chesapeake bay

    Bringing home our new boat

It appears to be original but I don't really know, they could have added the sundeck hardtop and arch, they appear to be part of the same construction. There were two prior owners, it's a 1986.
