    Charging lithium

Have you switched to just LFP or do you still have some lead for backup?

    Inverters

The Samlex NTX-3000-12 inverter will take a 6000 watt surge and run at 3000 happily for less than a Canuck boat buck. (Designed here in BC.) Their PST-3000-12 has more bells and whistles, can be hard wired and, I believe, is heavier duty. I've been using 2 of their inverters for 5 or 6 years...

If you're looking for non-skid, easy on bare feet and reasonable maintenance, you should look at SeaCork.

Second alternator or DC to DC charger

The Wakespeed WS100 is what I am using and it is only $373 USD in 24V. Smarter than I am and good enough for most boats. US made and excellent support.

Second alternator or DC to DC charger

Probably worth an enquiry. I bought an Excel anchor from Australia and the shipping isn't that bad.

Second alternator or DC to DC charger

No, I replaced the old 55 amp original. (Westerbeke W46 in a blow boat)

Second alternator or DC to DC charger

Here you go: http://www.all-tek.ca/index.html I am using the CH-12200-SS. It is a hair larger than the original but, with a little trimming on the mount, it fits just fine. I've had it 3 years and it pumps out 185 amps long enough to bring 4 Firefly's up to tapering from 40% charge without...

Second alternator or DC to DC charger

I bought a 200 amp brushless alternator from an oilfield industrial supplier for $320 CAD. A small machine shop made serpentine belt adaptors for a couple of hundred more. A Wakespeed external regulator, WS100 or, better yet, the WS500 will control the charging and protect the alternator. You...

    Mounting zip ties

I use Weld Mount 8040 with their small pads and they never fail. I even mounted our hot water tank to the inner hull side with 4 of their stud mounts. Rod Collins recommends them so that is good enough for me.

    New or rebuilt alternators?

Not what the OP is looking for but an industrial alternator is usually a lot more bang for the buck. I put on a small frame 200 amp brushless alternator from All-Tek Industrial in Alberta. It happily puts out 185 amps for as long as my 4 Firefly 31's will accept it. $320 CAD. I added a WA100...

    Grill propane tanks storage.

BBQ tank mount. Are sailboat pictures allowed? Don't know why it is sideways. I think this is the one I bought. https://powertank.com/products/bkt-2288 I bought a piece of aluminium plate to mount it to so I could mount it on the pushpit.

    Grill propane tanks storage.

I found an aluminium bracket designed to hold a 10 lb aluminium tank to an off-road vehicle roll bar. I mounted it to the stern rail underneath the Dickinson bbq. Secure and any leak is overboard.

    StarLink Moving Forward

Tom Interesting site but I don't see any correlation between the number of satellites nearby and download speed. It indicates which satellites I am connected to but sometimes very close ones don't show as connected to me.

    StarLink Moving Forward

Edit. I looked at the source again and although he shows Alaska as home port he is actually south of me at 46 degrees and he has service 10 miles out. He says normal cruising is OK but big wakes interrupt service for seconds to a few minutes. As far as my service is concerned I had a lot of...

    StarLink Moving Forward

Our boat is in a marina so the antenna only moves laterally 2-3 feet with a 2 second period. The antenna is temporarily mounted on a piece of PVC pipe so when the wind pipes up the antenna shakes visibly 2 or 3 inches up and down. None of this movement appears to affect the download speed...

    StarLink Moving Forward

Why do you say this. I'm using Starlink on my boat and it is working well.
