    Best Claw type anchor

Eric, I have owned two original Bruce anchors, a 33 and a 66. Both found the Bruce rock. This is not the best situation in a storm. Because we do almost all of our anchoring in SE Alaska we must contend with numerouse bottom types. We have rocky, sandy, mud, heavy ribbon kelp, dense ell grass...

PNW Charters without a cook included?????

I believe you and your wife are both correct in that a bare boat customer and a customer wanting a fully crewed boat are two different markets. This similar to the customer at the Red Roof Inn is a different market then the customer at the five star full service hotel. In the early 80s I help...

How long will barrier coat last?

The warmer the water the greater the blistering. Many boats in our cool waters never blister. I assume the length of time the barrier coat last is also proportional to the water temperature.

    The art of negotiation

There is a lot of good advice on this thread. A buyer's broker is more interested in making a sale then getting the best deal for the buyer. At the end of the day if your offer is rejected or not sufficiently countered walk away. There is a great possibility the seller will return and take...

Eagle Trawlers Available Again in the Pacific Northwest

Eric, The 4 cylinder FL does not run as smooth as the 6 and produces a fairly uncomfortable vibration in a fiberglass boat. It has a very large flywheel in an attempt to smooth it out.

The 40 is a great boat! Transpac made less then a hundred 32s and they rarely come up for sale.

The definition of a perfectly good air craft is one that makes a safe landing. In Alaska we sometimes wonder if that will happen.

Because we live in Alaska the galley down makes for a warm boat. Also windows at setting level in is important for the Admiral.
