Freshwater boost pump for wash down

I think this would work. I have a cat pressure washer pump attached to an electric motor under the boat shed to wash my boats. I do not see why it would not work if you mounted it on the boat. Something like this but it did not come on a cart. I did buy it from northern tools. The motor and...

Yep it is all good until they eat you dog or one of the kids. I raise and train bird dogs. My current dog was not cheap and I probably have over 2,000 hours in training the dog. I use the pond in my backyard to train my dogs. Needless to say any alligator in my pond or yard is handled...

There was about a 12' alligator dead on side of the highway about a mile form my office. The price of alligator has dropped so much not many people are trapping them. They are quickly over populating in South Louisiana. Last summer I walked out to get in my truck to go to work and a 10'...

    Grass up our @$$.

We have used sections of 6 inch PVC pipe to keep weeds off of boat ramps and out of slips. You fill them about 1/4 of the way with water and cap them off. Place several sections in the water around the slip. From the picture it looks like these weeds are floating so it should work.

    ICW at Morgan City, La

Yep they are very nice. Talked to a couple passing through on an 44 Island gypsy a few weeks ago that had to stay for a few days because of work on the locks. They complement the city for the condition of the docks.

    Through hull transducer

Look into the Airmar P79. http://www.airmar.com/productdescription.html?id=3 It mounts in the hull and the transducer sits in a liquid. I think it was antifreeze. I had one in a few boats that I did not want a through hull and had good success with the P79. It was good for depth up to about...

    diesel fuel lines

Why not use 316 stainless tubing and fittings? We use it at work for all sorts of things. You can get a 20' joint for about $35 and the fittings are about 10 each. It is not hard to bend. I think it would be a lifetime fix and it would look good.

My wife and I are considering purchasing a trawler> I know we cannot afford an new boat but are looking for something 10 to 15 years old. Where Did the Water Go?

After 5 days of north wind and low tides in Louisiana this is what one of my favorite fishing spots looked like. I wish I could have launched the boat because I know with the low water the fish were stacked up.

    Boating Shoes For Cold Weather

I wore my LaCrosse pull overs with a pair of wool socks and my feet stayed warm and dry. I always keep these near the back door so if the yard is wet I can walk back to the pond without getting my feet wet. http://www.lacrossefootwear(dot)com/men/all/all-boots/trekker-ii-7-brown.html I also...

    Detroit Diesels

We had a old 6v71 in a house boat we owned. They were both great motors. Only problem I can really remember was having to replace the shut down on the 671 a few times. Oh and the fact they are like a tom cats they mark their territory, with oil instead of piss.
