Shower Head Idea - Strong but saves

"I have to operate the wall/bulkhead mounted mixer tap, which can be as much as 2ft away, because, woe is me, we lack a second "tap" control on the shower head itself." I feel like David Attenborough should narrate your life's struggles on a National Geographic special.

Shower Head Idea - Strong but saves

I just installed a gas/water separator on mine to avoid hearing the trickle. But now I have to visually check my valves to make sure there is a trickle. Reminds me of the troubles with my under-utilized water maker and prepping the pickle.

The great trickle debate of 2017 has begun! The American faucet vs the Australian tap.

Shower Head Idea - Strong but saves

I was thinking more in terms of hot water use in the shower. I'm a Southerner living in a place (Seattle) that can really stay at 45 degrees or 55 degrees for months on end. Hot water is important! There is a reason Starbucks was started here . Krispy Kreme coffee is as good or better but I...

Shower Head Idea - Strong but saves

I bought it on eBay from this company recently and it shipped within 12 hours with a tracking number from Poland via the UK for some reason.

Shower Head Idea - Strong but saves

I bought two of these on eBay. They fit any shower hose that I already have. My current boat shower has no cutoff valve other than a mixer valve. Which means I have to be careful to turn on/off at the same location. I intend to add a shutoff valve.

Shower Head Idea - Strong but saves

This is truly a mundane topic, but I like to sweat the details. I have personally owned two boats with shower systems installed. Not to mention real property as investments. I am always thinking about ways to subtly improve the experience onboard. I did some research about venturi valve shower...

That is correct. The lowest valve (barely showing in the picture - is the ball valve.

Helmsman 31 - Just shipped to me in Seattle

I was using the iPhone to take the picture so it isn't the best picture. There are three hoses attached to that separator. The hose connected to the center of the separator is from the water lock device (which looks almost exactly the same as the separator). Then there are two other hoses...

No it is above waterline. That is the gas fumes exhaust.

There are two outlets from the separator. One above water line for the gas fumes , the second is below the water line for the water - the two have been separated. The below waterline valve is just barely below water.

Never hurts to re-check so I just examined the diagrams again. This is how the Dutch design things and they have to adhere to mandatory standards:

It is the exhaust from the gas/ water separator. The valve lower down is for the water. The other valves you see came Fisheries Supply in Seattle and were shipped over to the factory.

They were bought by Helmsman including the name. The tooling has been revised as well as outright tossed out with new tooling made. Camano is no longer used and it is just called the Helmsman 31.

Helmsman 31 - Just shipped to me in Seattle

Added a Gas/Water Separator to the WhisperGen genset this week. It is a Netherlands made product with a Kubota engine. This meant installing a thru-hull. Made a substantial difference. Next I will be installing some vibration isolators under the genset itself.
