    Towing/Carrying a Jet Ski

Russel In Brazil the authorities had put all barriers in these things, including forbidding the traffic of them in mooring areas. He uses the damn thing to do volunteer work on weekends with a foundation that monitors trash in the sea as well as sewer. Good, but my boat has nothing to do...

    Towing/Carrying a Jet Ski

Hi Guys My son has a Kawasaki jet sky and he has been bugging me with the possibility of carrying it in Rainha Jannota. Is there a simple system to set that thing in the transom? I don’t think my swim platform has structure to support 750 lbs which is the weight of his jet. I have told him I...

    The GPS Store

Baker In the last 36 months I have bought stuff online from WM, Defender, Wholesales Marine, I-Boat, WMJ, Side Power, and etc. In all of them I gave my phone number and complete address, no exception. That is not the issue. When I saw the request for bank wire, I called the GPS Store and the...

    The GPS Store

Baker Me again. Sorry mate, the text below has nothing to do with you, and I am thankful for your clue. At the stage of my boat construction I am always trying to find good prices, but… I am pulling everything I said about GPS store. They are probably very good for the American market but...

    The GPS Store

Baker Thank you very much for the clue. I just bought the South America Garmin chart for 50% less than my usual supplier. However, the radar antenas are somewhat more expensive than Starmarine.com for example. All in all GPS store seems to be way cheaper. Thank you

    Fathom Yachts vs Nordhavn

Hollywood You're correct. Apart from that, disregarding the lamination issues, a hull is not calculated to fall from 5' high on the ground, mainly on top a steel piece that belongs to equipment attached to the said hull. In another words you and I will never know the real truth. Cheers

    Fathom Yachts vs Nordhavn

...Interesting post. I am not surprised with the thickness of the hull as it is impossible to figure out properly with the shown pictures. I am surprised with the dryness of the fiberglass. It looks like some of that never saw resin! In all posts here, the Chinese origin of the hull has never...

    Buying a Boat

GFC I totally agree with you. Micky You are really lucky man. Let me tell you something my friend; regardless the coast and the country and the continent, no 2 miles offshore are calmer than 12 miles offshore. When you go offshore, 2 to 5 miles isn’t safe. When/if the coast line is...

He also re-build the interior of a FRP 23' sailboat that I had many years ago, Xakapili. He also built a professional fishing boat for my father-in-law when...

First Question from the New Guy (long)

Seahorse Now that's an interesting vessel! And it floats!!! It is a cat tied up to a trimaran? Mr. Ecsher. My recommendation at this stage is that you visit as many boat shows and trawler fests as possible. Speak with the people with boats. Visit as many marinas as possible and make friends...

    New Photos of Rainha Jannota

Obrigado Steve This wheel was originally built in Mahogany by my best friend Ivo, 15 years ago when I decided to get a trawler for my retirement. At that time he had just discovered a cancer in his loams, but still he wanted to build something that I could have in my boat if I ever had one...
