    Remind me again, will ya…

You guys are masters of the obvious. Yes, if you have one radio and are trying to hatch it you won't hear the broadcast. But again, the broadcast is a good reminder to all, "keep an eye on your mic." If the logic wire is connected you will do that. Back to one.

    Remind me again, will ya…

Good grief. Stupid? Help me out here. If I'm calling you, you have an open mic, I'm stupid for not knowing it's you with the open mic? Here's another reminder; people have tenders and portable VHF radios where the "offender" might just hear the broadcast and be reminded to check when he...

    Remind me again, will ya…

The USCG “open mic” and “pointless” posts reminded me that we all need reminders about something, sometime and it is usually the obvious. Just this weekend I was reminded that more and more people are born with the wire to the logic terminal just hanging there. Buddy told me Sunday morning...

Start saving, Star. In a couple years when two footitis sets in, someone is going to get a nice boat. Might as well be you. Right? :hide:

Hope you folks have a fun safe passage through our waters. Don’t forget to dump your winter collection of holding tank materials before you cross the border :D and just an FYI, burning garbage below the tide line just hides it and is illegal. :nonono: If you enjoy an IPA, try the Fat Tug...

    "Thank You" kaput?

I got your thanks Janet but, like I said it is the send function that doesn't work. Turning off pop up blocker did nothing so, I'll just thank everyone for every post ever submitted, present, past and future; except the following list which I should be able to complete by Christmas. In the...

Thanks Mike. I receive "Thanks" just fine but can't send any. That you cannot send one either, when I am gone tells me I am not alone. can you send a "Thanks" to anyone else?

Peter; One of my pals is skipper of Island Fury, which tows logs from Knight Inlet to Howe Sound. One day last week, I opened Marine Traffic AIS to see where he was and found him southbound Cordero Channel. Abeam, to my surprise, was Tanglewood, northbound. How cool is that? When I told...

    Yacht Transport Experiences

Any captain or shipper reading that will either double your price or say no thanks. How is your prized possession any safer being slung off and on, travelling through who knows what weather and being watched over by a crew of minimum wagers? Listen to what BandB and Tom B said, then captain...

Well, I tell ya, Tomco should be paying ALL your expenses, to travel that beauty to every N American boat show, for the next two years. They would reap huge returns. How nice is that?

    12 hour flight advise

Great exchange, Peter. Easy to follow and educational. So, one more question; I am curious about the use of syringes, especially on planes, when there may be oral alternatives. Do not Clexane, by needle and Rivaroxaban (Xarelto) orally, accomplish the same thing?

Exactly. Then there is the whole diagnosis and treatment process. A family member, who has a very high pain tolerance, developed severe "chest" pains. Went to his GP who diagnosed pleurisy and sent him home to rest...Peter B just fell off his chair, I know. That night he could stand it no...

And that you did in spades. It’s really nice and helpful, when a professional can put things in simple, lay terms. I like your plug the leak, clear the blocked pipe analogy. Though the reason for the post was not to get medical advice but rather to get a sense of what people do vis a vis jet...

    12 hour flight advise

Boarding at 2am when it is 5pm next day at my destination, I'll have to stay awake for at least a couple hours. Maybe watch Sully. Got the aisle, but I'll skip the wine and I am looking forward to it; that's why I want to do everything possible to prevent ass drag when I get there. Thanks.
