Cost for complete new waste system

Chris, all that stuff is just too complicated for a guy who always did it just like the bears. This boat has something called a "Vacusan" system and when ask about it earlier, Peggy harumphed...good enough for me. Besides, seeing gumboots in the ER says a lot.

Towing a Canoe at 6 Knots

Trying to take along a 15'-6" canoe on a boat that is 27' LOA with an 8' beam, makes no sense. FF had the best suggestion but I would even discourage that. If having it out back in relatively calm waters made you nervous, almost any arrangement is going to be a distraction at best and an event...

    Alaska!

Well no mad Willy, I can't take credit for any of that. It was done by Sam Landsman from over at Waggoners Cruising Guide. All I did was cut a few prime ones from the herd and corral them here. Sam's just a young buck who I admire and respect greatly because, while his peers are out doing...

    Alaska!

With Sam's permission, I'd like you all to see why the great parade north each summer. Al and Kevin will disapprove of me showing off their front yards but Celebrity and Holland do it every week. The 2 weeks from #44 need no explanation and in the right margin you can find the entire trip...

I knew what you were talking about and just thought it was a good lead in for a reminder that it is not necessarily a sexy line of work. On the other hand, I lived near a public dock about 10nm from the bowels of Vancouver. A dock where both the Harbour Patrol and Vancouver Marine squad were...

PNW import, or not...? Banks are tough!

If you believe there is that big a difference between Seattle and Vancouver, then you are not seeing what you are looking at. Large numbers of WA boats, particularly in the Bellingham, Anacortes areas are built and rigged the same as those a few miles north. A year ago "affordability" was a...

Those conditions can put the boarding boys at odds with the boaters, without either party thinking about why. As well, most boaters think it would be a cool job to get paid for boating and going aboard any boat you want to look at. Not a thought is given to those floaters you try to get...

    Nice sea trial conditions

Yes, things that would have been borne out in a sea trial in those conditions. Both your comments and Dave's were considered in my OP. I didn't want to be critical, just report my observation of two similar boats in exactly the same sea conditions. The NT has a bit less beam and more LWL but...

For about 20 to 30 minutes I watched a pair of 37 footers come straight at me in 4' following, quartering seas. The difference was startling. Internet specs and pics of like boats: 37 Mariner Yachts International; LOA: 37 ft LWL: 34 ft 6 in Beam: 13 ft 4 in Max Draft: 4 ft Displacement...
