That's a touch and go, Eric.

    Pender Harbour grounding

Have to laugh at the rampant speculation on anti-social media via Google. "Hit a submerged container." "Depth gauge that is required to beep, failed." On the other hand, a local reports having seen her dangerously close to rocks in Colburne Passage, near Swartz Bay. If somebody is in over...

Keith; Come see Tsehum Yum Yum

Small world. Jeanette and her sibs, the Meilleurs, were all summer cohorts at Myrtle Point as kids and teens. Tons of good fun. Went to school with them all but haven't seen any in years. Their folks and my folks went back quite a ways. I'm going to have to dig some Yum Yum. Something ain't...

Nice. Do you know who made it? I'll bid you fair winds the rest of the adventure and again, thanks for having us along. Hope to see a full accounting soon.

    ASD and the Inside Passage

Maybe it was your scrubbed freshness and Oregon cologne. I've heard mostly good things about the place.

Bruce, whatever the man says, don't buy it. All paintings. Look at the avatar; that's the clearest day in 23 years. No one needs go there.

If Xsbank is around he might fill us in on this one. It's Bellisima out of Frisco. Looking at the first video which is an earlier one, showing her more mid channel, I'm speculating they put a green buoy to the wrong side. Maybe at Skardon Islands. Second video shows her drifting by Farrington...

Keith; Come see Tsehum Yum Yum

Interesting comments, Tad because when I saw this one today, it didn't seem right, somehow. I had this thing in my head similar to what you describe but, 50 some odd years can alter minds and boats. The pdf info meshes some with my recall, the Matson name fits and the Matson family were long...

Keith; Come see Tsehum Yum Yum

Did you know she was a local??? A week or two ago when I mentioned the Chinese Junk in Powell River, that was the first time I had thought of her in oh, probably 4 dozen years. I had completely forgotten the name Yum Yum, until you said it. Short story long, I was down at Tsehum looking at...

Murray: Toss this in the old coal bucket along with the Woodwards catalogues for next month when darkness starts to set in just after lunch. WWBA | WESTCOAST WORK BOAT ASSOCIATION Eric: Figured before somebody said I was full of you know what, not an unusual event, I should go see if I was...

You have to come back because you missed the whole other side of Saltspring with all the sites and eats. Bummer. I was hoping I could stuff some more ice cream down your gullet. Next time sir.

Hah! You should see the mess Spot gets hizzself into overnight with a 10-12 foot tide.

Doesn't it all get boring? Same old mountains, waterfalls, bear, whales, sun; nobody to wave at. If it weren't for drones, a guy wouldn't even need to get dressed in the morning. Anyway, I keep going back to Badger & Hawk Bay. Love the side by each sheer.

Don't be too hard on Peter, Eric. I think he was just having a bit of fun which, like my own is oft' misread. Otherwise you are bang on and I know if I walked the local fishboat floats, I'd count a dozen Northills.

Also, Dave: Keep your eye's open and camera ready, you are entering an active mammal area. In the past few days there have been plenty of sightings including an unconfirmed sighting of a rare Fin Whale. Could also have been a Minke Whale which was a confirmed sighting. Otherwise, lot's of...

Sunchaser has AIS and I'm only guessing that's him in Pender Harbour. Logical enough move from where he was in Nanaimo. You should be good to find dockage somewhere.

Completely agree but it looks like they are on the other side now at Pender Harbour. Dave, you might find a mooring or hook it in the harbour between Newcastle and Protection Islands. Good exploring ashore from there even though it's not for me in August. Hey, maybe ASDs naked night swimmer...
