3 day test run in the PNW

Looks like a nice tour. How were the towns and marinas in the "Phase 2" environment?

    Cabinet door hinge

I was going to write an explanation of how we figured this out, then I found this: https://www.wikihow.com/Adjust-Euro-Style-Cabinet-Hinges Which is more clear than I could ever be. The hinges can definitely be adjusted using the various screws. In my experience, it’s a bit of a pain.

questions on paper work washington state

One more thing, while you won’t have WA State registration numbers on your bow, you will still need to display the annual sticker (your “tabs”). Also, the Coast Guard requires you to permanently affix your registration number on the hull or a bulkhead inside the boat...

questions on paper work washington state

We just completed this paperwork for our NP coming into Blaine (using Pacific Maritime). PM me if you want to chat about anything.

How often do you need your lower helm?

We made ample use of both helms. When we bought our 3587, we were told we’d never use the inside helm. In practice, we used the flybridge for docking and when navigating through marinas and new locations - any time visibility was important. The rest of the time, we drove from inside, where it...

    How much is too much?

We pulled our spare props off and put them in storage. After cruising for the past few years in the same home waters as you, here’s my “critical spares” list (I’ve had to do something or other under way or during a longer trip) * wooden through hull plugs * Pencil anodes - with and without the...

    Need windshield wiper input

Try Am Equipment: https://www.amequipment.com They were able to find a replacement motor for me and fabricate some wiper arms. I spoke to a guy named Butch Helland a few years back and he was super helpful.

the furnace draws about 6A when it's running. We tend to spend more time on the dock plugged in when it's cold anyway, so it hasn't been a major contributor to draw. I did a full spreadsheet for draw based on real numbers puled from my battery monitor on the current boat. We also have hundreds...

    North Pacific Yachts

We’ll have three 145W panels flush mounted into the hard top. Given we’re in the Pacific NW, I wouldn’t count on these as a reliable source of power. Our goal is to run the generator once a day at anchor. But I’d like a little buffer capacity in case we’re away can’t get back on time (i.e. we...

Trevor is estimating 250 gallons. We’re having it done as part of the build. It will be rigid and molded into the shape of the available space, but i should double check the materials.

Looking for input from NP45 owners This is a really helpful list. We’ll take delivery of NP4512 in the spring of 2020. We made a few modifications: swapped out fresh water tanks for fuel (bringing total fuel to 700 gal), moved to a single fresh water tank in the forward bilge, added a water...
