What Trawlers are made in the USA/Canada?

I believe that all Fales (Willard copy) were made in the Pearson yard in Rhode Island.

    Hello New Software

I've been knocking on the door for over a week. It seems when I was TF user #0000001 I was using an email address that was retired a long time ago. I couldn't even remember what it was! Now I'm in and I can actually post. Great job Andy! (and staff). It really does look good! :thumb:

    username

Steve, I do not have the ability to change your username anymore. You could try to get in touch with Andy to see if he can do it. Or, you could try creating another User and quit using the Steve username. I hope this helps!

    Area for manuals

*I would have to defer that decision to the new Captain (Andy). It may be best to just post a "Hey, I'm looking for a ...blah blah.." and have someone tell you where you may find it. By hosting a site that allows distribution of copyrighted docs sounds a lot like trouble to me. Also, have you...

Bridge Project in Galveston Nears Completion

It may have been contracted to a Maine company but the span was actually built in a yard a few miles to the South just off of Harborside Drive in the City of Galveston. I'm sure that most of the paychecks earned on the project will be spent in and around Galveston!

Bridge Project in Galveston Nears Completion

Yes. Most of the pictures above appear to have been taken from the I45 freeway bridge over the ICW. The railroad bridge is on the East side of the freeway.

Bridge Project in Galveston Nears Completion

The last 2 pics really are good at illustrating how important this project is to those that cruise through this part of the ICW. This narrow passage has been the site of MANY near misses as well as a few collisions!

Bridge Project in Galveston Nears Completion

Some of you out there may find this project interesting even if you don't travel these waters. This article came from the Daily News in Galveston, Texas. The photos came from an unknown source...maybe the newspaper as well? Enjoy!
<h1 class="entry-title...

    Top Ten Boat Names 2011

*I guess I'm old fashioned also. My dad's first boat was "Lisa". When I asked him why he named it "Lisa", his reply was that all boats are supposed to be named after women. "Boomarang" was our boat. But I didn't rename it because I was too lazy to change it. I dislike hard to pronounce names in...

    Mobile Site Down?

Remember guys and gals. "We" have not made ANY changes to ANYTHING. That is one reason why Andy is getting us off of the current platform and putting us on vBulletin. We really do want to improve things.

    ***Trawler Forum PRESS RELEASE***Please Read!

Thanks for the kind words, Marin. I actually work for a medical company supporting a medical records software product. I know it sounds like I should be a computer wiz but I actually spend so much time focused on our software that I don't have the time to get to know the stuff that really makes...

New member and what kind of animal is it?

Hi WhistleDoc!* Welcome aboard. I may have been with Baker when we toured your boat. I too remember driving by your project just off of 146 in Bacliff wondering when you were going to finish it. When I first saw it in the water I was amazed. Folks, if you ever get a chance to see "Annie", do...

Remember, to get the expandable thumbnail thingy to happen you have to click the box that says "Attach Image(s)". It's below the section where you type in your message. It is not in the menu of icons up above. You may have to scroll down on your screen to see it.

One thing that you can do is click the "Mark All As Read" button when you are through. That clears them all at the end of your session. I would only do it at the end....

By the way, this area of the forum is a great place to try it for yourself. You know, a testing forum. That way you don't bug everybody with your pics of kids and dogs. We want to see boats!!!

    Picture posting

There are at least 2 different ways of posting. The final image size depends on the size of your original - within reason I believe. In other words, you cannot post a 10 jillion by 20 jillion pic. You can insert a pic like this: I have this one stored on Flickr. It's free storage and it auto...
