Rustoleum Marine Coatings - Has Anyone Tried?

Not sure where that middle pic of a boat interior came from. That's not even a picture I have....

Rustoleum Marine Coatings - Has Anyone Tried?

I use it to paint my boat. Since I liveaboard and travel on the boat, the painted surfaces take their share of wear and tear. I like the one part nature of being able to touch up areas that are damaged. It is easy to work with and I roll and tip. A little experimentation and you'll find...

    Hurricane Michael Panama City area

When you say the St George Inlet, are you referring to East Pass between St George Island and Dog Island? If so, that pass was fine as of Oct 16th when I went out it. The aids to navigation were all present and on station.

    Hurricane Michael Panama City area

Last we saw in the news, the Panama City Marina has been listed as closed indefinitely. With the city's ongoing efforts to redevelop the area, rebuilding of the marina may get tied up in that process.

    Hurricane Michael Panama City area

I was in the Port St Joe Marina. Moved to a good hurricane hole before the storm and glad I did. PSJ Marina is heavily damaged and they estimate it will be 18 months before they reopen. After the storm, I anchored off Apalachicola for a week. I have friends that moved into Scipio Creek...

When will you return to ravaged locations?

I was originally planning on heading to Southwest Florida next week then on to the Keys at the end of the month. But will now stay in the panhandle this winter. My concern is more about missing markers, new shoals, and hidden debris in the water waiting to eat my anchor or my running gear...

Is it legal to throw my old rusted out holding tank overboard offshore? If so how fa

I'm on the Boot Key Cruisers page and see the postings from the city about debris removal. Couldn't you just toss it on a pile for pick up and be done with it? Or toss it in one of the wrecked boats that have been surrendered to FWC for wreck removal?

    No AC in FL summer

Having done this two years in Florida on my own boat, it is miserable. My first year in Florida, I had no AC installed. After the 2004 hurricane season destroyed every marina in the area, I spent the entire following year living at anchor. By mid September 2015 my wife told me to find a...

    raritan water heater

I have this problem in the aft head sink. I thought it was solar heating in the machinary space, but alas, it was caused by a crossover in the shower that is teed off before the sink connections. I have a watersaver switch on the shower head, and if you flip it to the off position and...

Paragon transmission problem on FL 120

I put a tee on the hydraulic supply line running to the oil cooler for the pressure gauge. For a fresh transmission, you should have around 150 psi with 75 psi as the minimum required for clutch lock.

Paragon transmission problem on FL 120

And the P series needs 75 psi for clutch lock. What does your pressure gauge read?

Paragon transmission problem on FL 120

Did you mount the front plate of the transmission in the right orientation? That plate has to be mounted to match engine rotation. You could rotate them 180 for a counter rotating motor. You may be running the internal hydraulic pump backwards

    water makers

I installed a Cruise RO unit last year and love it. Off the shelf parts, the kit came with a ton of connectors and such that made installation a breeze. And their customer service is top notch. Can't say enough good things about this unit

    DISH vs DIRECT TV

I went with the Intellian I3 system and Dish network. Having been both a DirecTv and Dish customer, the Dish billing is far superior. Sign up for their RV package and there is just a flat monthly rate with no contract. You pay month to month with no hidden fees or rate increases. You can...

    KiwiGrip results?

I used KiwiGrip on my aluminium boarding ramp spring of 2014, and it has held up well to daily use. I did it as a test for re-painting my decks and I'm sold. A few tips: 1) it applies very thick, you will use more than you think you need 2) the standard roller is fine. The pressure and speed...

Panama City to Pensacola for Blue Angels show

Checkout the island south of green can 53. You can enter the anchorage from the east or west. I've anchored there while going from Pensacola to Panama City. Good depth and holding. Check it out on Google Earth, the entrance to the west isnt charted correctly, but easily navigated visually...
