    Electric Bike Review

I know, but first, most people don't know what the confusing Class numbers mean and land managers too often just lump everything together. To me, there isn't a good reason to shun a Class 1 or even a 3, but I see so many trails with a blanket, "no e-bike" allowed sign. Also, as I mentioned...

    Electric Bike Review

There can be a lot of confusion with respect to e-bikes, as the term is used for almost anything with two wheels and an electric motor. Electric motorcycles, such as Surron, shouldn't be refereed to as e-bikes IMO. They are motorcycles that are powered by an electric motor and don't even have...

    Troubleshooting a seized Yanmar engine

I don't think it matters at this point. You found a lot of water in the engine, the engine was submerged and now it is seized. Bite the bullet and rebuild it now.

    Documentation Renewal

These same document processing companies exist for virtually all government documentation updates. Probably the largest ones are the companies that process DOT and FMCSA paperwork for commercial vehicles. Several of the required filings are actually free if you go to the .gov website...

running gasoline/diesel mix in an emergency

Sulfur is not, nor ever was a lubricant. People became confused when they learned that ULSD had less lubricity. The assumption was made, and it has become lore, that the sulfur was providing the lubrication. The reality is that the PROCESS of removing sulfur also removes the components of...

    Holding tank lesson!

Camping folks have recommended you add Dawn dishwashing liquid to the holding tanks. It breaks down the greases found in solid waste and does a fair job of keeping the tanks clean. As to the septic comments that I see hear and in camping fora, these are holding tanks, not treatment plants...

    Mixing 2 oil brands safe?

Quaker State used to have a bad reputation because it had a lot of paraffin in it and people would get waxy build-up and clog oil passages. That is long since in the past. Quite frankly, I'd rather buy an engine from someone who bought cheap oil and changed it and filters frequently than...

    Mixing 2 oil brands safe?

This! Oil is a religion for so many people. I see it on car and truck forums, heavy equipment forums and, of course, boat forums. Oil company marketing is working well or people are afraid of all things mechanical so particularly in when it comes to engine oil, they go with more dollars must...

Now I see why liveaboards get a bad rep

It was clearly sarcastic and funny. Unfortunately, a lot of people have lost there sense of humor these days and WANT to be offended. Along those lines, the OP merely stated that the boats he saw were sailboats. A LOT of people here took that to be him slamming sailors, sailing and...

    Indoor cats

Sounds to me like you might be overthinking this. You said the cats don't like outdoors. If you left the doors to the house open, would the cats go outside or stay inside? I gather they would stay inside, so I'd expect them to do the same on the boat. Who knows, they may even get comfortable...

    Wake pics

Because you phone was sideways when you took it. The correct orientation doesn't get passed to all programs. The way to fix it is open it on your computer, rotate it (even if it looks right) and then rotate it back to the correct orientation and save it. Then it will work for everything.

    Wire size confusion

There is more to wire than just the size. What does the marking on the wire actually say? Is it SO, SOO, XHHW, RHH, RHW-2, USE-2, etc. If it is welding lead, what Class? Some of the welding cable is rated for secondary power supply applications not exceeding 600v AC.

He's not vacuuming the oil out. Just creating a vacuum in the top of the tank so that the oil won't flow down the hose.
