They do indeed offer a main cabin helm station with redundant controls. It deletes the wine fridge but gives cold weather cruising ability.

Sorry if absurd; but I've always thought we'd use walkie-talkies with handsfree earbuds and mics. Sure is a lot cheaper and can't beat the range -voice activated too. Am I missing something?

Yes, we've only been interested in the 44 and only 2016 or newer. That model year added the large table and seating area to the cockpit. Thanks though!

I'm concerned that Garmin will now take Navionics offline for those of us using non-Garmin hardware :banghead:. Maybe not right away, but in the future. I love the user generated aspect of sonar mapping. Are there other offshore options that combine this feature?

I plan on installing a 1 terra bit SSD local cloud device, then streaming preloaded films TV shows from it to tablets, laptops, TV, etc. Good for all areas, but especially good for 'off grid' locales.

I stumbled upon this huge trawler during a dock stroll this morning. It's a 60' MetalCraft Marine from '03. Originally listed for $1.495m in 2009, it's now significantly reduced. I'd imagine there's a lot of danger in buying an off-brand trawler. Thoughts? 2003 Metal Craft Marine Expedition...
