    Yanmar 315 leaking water pump

I have a 2004 Mainship Pilot 30 II with the 315 Yanmar. I noticed raw water dripping from the vents on the side of the water pump after shutting the engine down. It does not seem to drip when the engine is running. So far it's running in the normal temp range. Do I need to rebuild the pump and...

    30 Mainship vibration

The 1999 Pilot 30 did not have a prop tunnel. That was added in 2003 I think. I don't think a 5 blade would help in your situation. It's probably another issue with alignment or prop causing the vibration.

    Refrigerator problem Pilot 30 II

It ended up being a power supply problem. Replaced it, and everything is fine now!

Anyone upgrade the AC unit in Pilot 30II?

Hey Baker, I knew it was you! I'm not sure why mine is not keeping up so well. I'm surprised to hear yours worked fine. I remember when I owned JD's boat.....the air conditioner was just adequate, not anything great, but my current one is not working as well as JD's. I'm going to try blowing out...

Anyone upgrade the AC unit in Pilot 30II?

Yes, It's not keeping up very well. Of course the water temp is almost 90 right now! It will catch up at night time, but during the day it will run continuously and never get below around 84.

    Refrigerator problem Pilot 30 II

I have a 2004 Mainship Pilot 30II with the top loading refrigerator. I usually keep a few drinks and condiments in the fridge, and keep the AC Outlets switch on constantly when I'm away from the boat to keep the fridge running on shore power, and keep the drinks cool. In the past the fridge...

Anyone upgrade the AC unit in Pilot 30II?

I have a 2004 Pilot 30 II with the Air Conditioning unit under the the v-berth. It's a 7000 BTU unit. I would like to upgrade to 10K or 12K but having trouble finding one with similar dimensions to fit the same area. There is extra room in the compartment for a longer unit, but not much extra...

Pilot 30 II air conditioner upgrade question

I'm thinking of replacing the factory 7000 BTU air conditioner with a 12,000 BTU unit. Will the existing 30 amp shorepower and breaker for AC be ok with this upgrade?

Running on plane with genset running ok?

I have a 2004 Pilot 30 II with a Yanmar 315 and Next Gen 3.5kw. I have never run an extended period of time at cruising speed with the genset running as well. I have only run for maybe an hour or so, and everything was fine. Do you guys see any problem with running 5 or 6 hours at 17-18 knots...

    Air Conditioner cycling often

Air conditioner cycling often in my Pilot II I have a Dometic Airrr system in my 2004 Mainship Pilot II. It seems to be cooling well, but it cycles on and off very often. Also, the temperature reading seems to be higher than the actual cabin temp. When the unit is running I can check the AC...

    Houston Boat show Winter 2016

I attend the Houston boat show every January, and I can't ever remember seeing any trailerable trawlers. As a matter of fact, it seems like there have been fewer large cabin boats the last couple years. There are a lot of fishing boats, runabouts, pontoon boats, and accessories at this show.

    Pilot 30 II refrigerator question

I haven't purchased the boat yet. There is a DC breaker for the fridge but no AC breaker. However, many times the fridge is plugged in to the "outlets" AC breaker but not visible. I'm asking any pilot 30 II owners that have the top load fridge if it's both AC and DC.

    Pilot 30 II refrigerator question

Is the top loading fridge on the Pilot 30 II a DC only unit, or does it run on AC as well?

    Looking for a Pilot 34

Hi, I'm new to the forum, and in Lake Charles, LA. I'm looking for a Pilot 34, preferably on the Gulf Coast, or somewhere in the South. For budget reasons I'm probably looking for years 2000-2004. PM or respond if you have any leads for me. Of course I am already familiar with the current ones...
