Me too, lol. The idea of letting girlfriends (or buddies) affect important decisions under our roof is nothing short of offensive. We have a quick and short answer for anyone who tells us 'You know what you should do....?" - "Yes, we do. Thank you for your concern". This can easily be taken out...

It will be a historically cold day in hell if any of her gym (or any other kind) girlfriends successfully overrides my final decision or veto power under our roof for anything the needs to be decided affecting our lives. The same goes for the unqualified opinion of any of my male buddies.

Everything we've read about Poulsbo makes us want to be in PNW sooner than later. Our home based in WA will be dictated chiefly by the wife's work location, but I'm hoping it's near Anacortes or Poulsbo. How is life at the marina as a live aboard? Is it possible to score a 45'-50' live aboard...

My condolences for your loss. As for the letters, what harm could it bring to your family if you read the first and then make a decision whether to share them or not. At the very least, you should gain an intimate perspective of what they felt, thought, dreamed and planned at their young age...

In southern California we try a similar tactic to keep east coasters from moving here. You're not deterring us, lol. We're moving to the Puget Sound and we'll be boating in BC waters, hopefully 4-6 months out of the year [emoji3]

Rob, To mitigate the 'fear of the unknown', (and lack of experience) getting formal education will work great for you and your family. You and your wife (at least) could attend as many motorboat certification courses as you can find in your area. Coastal Cruising Navigation Diesel Maintenance...
