    That's funny because some folks say these engines prepped for 550hp are too much and 2500hours is about the serviceable life. Certainly for other diesels I would agree but is 550 horses too much for this block?

    Is there a chemical answer to black water tank?

    It could also be the waste lines themselves. They will, over time, absorb odors and will need to be replaced. Even hoses rated for 'head' use, eventually will fail.

    Thanks! That is great feedback. I know the Volvos are known to have a loud turbo - but if she is still loud at idle, that would be discouraging.
