Hello K: check that the fridge DC ground wire is connected to your DC system. My DC ground wire was connected to the AC ground wire side in error. Makes a difference.

Hi Capran: I wish i had an anchor locker hatch. My boat didn't come with one. Suggestion: take your hatch to a local automotive body shop. They work with fiberglass all the time and can paint it for you. Might be cheaper and get the problem off your plate. Cheers Barrie

Car tire innertube is thicker than bike innertube. Depends on the need at the time.

I carry a chunk of car or bike innertube with my onboard maintenance kit. Be surprised how often I nibble into it for times like yours. Barrie

I have two panels and one controller. The panels are hooked up in a daisy chain style. The wires have male / female plugs to no chance of error in hook up. see picture. Tons of information on the WEB.

I use battery trays that are screwed down and then the batteries are strapped in. Find this makes maintenance easier and if there is a battery leak, it goes in the tray.

I use Micron CSC too. Our boat is in the St Lawrence River where there is always a little fresh water current. We paint one coat every two years as a top up. Marina uses a gentle rinse to get off the algae which only extends 18 inches down. Boat cleans up nice.
