Don't bite the hand that feeds you...

I also would like to commend the forum in the maturity in which this topic has been discussed. :thumb: And to add that the comments re higher pricing in the US might not be universally accurate. Most of the rest of the world pay substantially more for US product than internal customers do, even...

42' Flybridge raised helm deck... thing

Thanks Scott. That's underfoot, or under the fore/aft seating?

    KK42 frd stateroom

Thanks Jim. Yeah, it's not a huge negative, and there's advantages either way, certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker for an otherwise good buy. But I sort of shot myself in the foot. The other half expressed a preference for not having to clamber over me in the middle of the night, and I was...

    KK42 frd stateroom

Any traps involved in deleting the frd head in the stbd berth arrangement and converting it to the island queen berth layout? Thinking recycling the existing drawers into the aft end of a new bunk frame. Still some other cabinetwork to try to match... Cheers in advance. :thumb:

42' Flybridge raised helm deck... thing

Why? Is there stuff under there? Or is is some sort of concession to altitudinally disadvantaged helmsmen?

    KK42 Deck core

Thanks. As a matter of interest would divinycell perform as well as balsa in a deck application? I guess it's compression strength would be lower, and adhesion may be less strong? Edit: doesn't rot though... Thanks Larry, are you aware if there's any particular areas where they tend to fail? I...

    KK42 Deck core

Giday. I've read somewhere that Kadey Krogen 42's changed the deck layup in 1985. This was an article of collected historical features I found hereabouts somewhere. It stated that the deck structure changed from a glass over ply composite to something described simply as a "cored composite"...
