What's it for? I mean the older ones had a teak duckboard there, on the boat deck, behind the upper helm, and the later ones have a molded raised sole/deck, what 6" above the boat deck level? Why? Is there stuff under there? Or is is some sort of concession to altitudinally disadvantaged helmsmen?

According to the brokers it had been listed for 2-3 months. And yet it never appeared on any search I made, including generic googles and standing alerts on yachtworld.com. I'd have been onto that in a flash, in spite of the reach required.
