    Heat pump combo washer/dryer

We bought the Equator combo from Home Depot. Not a heat pump but allows for vented and non-vented. Plus it was the right size. https://equatorappliances.com/product-detail.php?product=super-combo-washer-dryer-silver-2021-431-1528&category_id=2

New Trawler Forum member, Hello everyone, OA mk1 question!!!!

Tonnage We have a 1980 50’ OA RPH. Last time we were out on the slings we weighed in at 51,000 lbs. Not fully fueled or water. That would be I think at~25 gross tons.

    Fuel tanks

We have a 1980 Mrk1 RPH. We removed the two aft tanks. Just cut them out. They were steel and were probably compromised from the day they were put in. We had new aluminum tanks made and installed. Probably lost 50 gallon capacity but still have 500NM range. We abandoned the tanks outboard...

    Battery Question

I am surprised they went out of business. A few knowledgeable people liked the product. One of the reasons I went with these. I am hoping these hold on until some of the newer technology trickles down. Come on solid state batteries. This is a response I got this afternoon from the engineer...

    Battery Question

Last year we discharged our batteries to 4 volts. I was put in contact with a real engineer who helped me recover our batteries. I asked him about the charge profiles. He indicated that you can keep the batteries in float mode and don’t have to charge them up and draw them down. I checked the...

Starlink or Not......that is the question!!!

Which service should one sign up for? We are looking at the Roam. The others have really high equipment costs.

    Is this hull ID legit?

HIN for OA We have a 1980 OA MRK1. The HIN starts with LHB which is Hinkley Yachts. It’s an east coast boat so that would make since as the importer.

    Sea Ranger 47

Any Sea Ranger 47s for sale? Love the looks of the Sea Ranger 47 RPHs and would really like to see one in person (with the potential to purchase?). We are in Florida but could travel pretty much anywhere on the east coast or Great Lakes. Seems too daunting to try to get one from the west...

    From Sailboat to Trawler

I think the DeFever 49 might be fairly close to being on track. We were on one recently but it seemed so BIG at the bow. I guess that’s something we’d get used to... We are on a 44’ Gulfstar sloop right now and living aboard. Love living on the water but need a bit more space if we are going...

Funny! Definitely NOT looking for a hurricane! We are up the Ortega River in a protected spot and enjoying family nearby.

    From Sailboat to Trawler

Hi there! My hubbie and I are currently doing the sailboat thing but find we are motoring as much as sailing. We love the space and looks of the older trawlers and looking for one to buy in the 46-50’ range. Love the vintage 1980s boats best. Also must be a raised Pilothouse with the saloon...
