I don't think anything is inherently wrong with balmar, but I think new technology has passed them by with desirable features. You can use wakespeed with lead acid, but to get the most out of your charging system, lithium is the way to go and both wakespeed and zeus handle that better.

Love how short your wiring is and well layed out.

What I am really glad to see with my Victron lynx smart BMS is that it can send a signal to my regulator to shut down prior to the BMS shutting down the batteries due to overcharging etc.. Thereby reducing or eliminating the chance of alternator damage.
