    Seacock

Howdy, one of my bronze seacocks is dribbling It’s coming from the cover plate that has the bolt coming through it with a nut. The other side has the valve opening and closing nut on it. Anyway, I tightened the nut a bit and it helped but am hesitant to put to much torque on it. So that’s my...

    Holding tank lesson!

I suspect that one of the two tanks was added after a previous owner discovered that one small tank was insufficient for their needs.

    Holding tank lesson!

Let me rephrase If ever you decide you want to use laundry detergent to clean your holding tanks despite there being possibly more efficient products available with certainly higher prices then “don’t use the pods”. It may cause you difficulty. It did me. Sheesh!

    Holding tank lesson!

I have seen tide/laundry detergent recommended several times as a way to clean a tank of build up etc by adding it to a freshly cleaned tank and letting it agitate in some decent seas. Unfortunately my system was required for some emergency use and I never made it to any decent wave action...

    Holding tank lesson!

My head has two holding tanks. One on the same level as the head and another below the deck. The top one is connected to the lower with about 3 foot of hose. Waste enters the top tank first and once it clears the hose mounting flange it starts to flow into the lower tank. A couple weeks ago...

    Propane oven/range question

Well, I asked my neighbor the same question above and she wisely suggest I run the oven and take a temperature reading. So after letting it maintain a 500 degree temp for a half hour or so with a temperature probe about an inch and a half below the oven the temp only reached 121 degrees. If...

    Propane oven/range question

Howdy, I’ve got a regular old propane oven that has a shelf built about 3 maybe 4 inches below the unit. It’s good to slide a few thin pans on top of but has limited function. Under that are some cubby holes for additional pots and pans. The top surface of the shelf has 4” square ceramic tiles...

    Tankless Dehumidifier

Thanks for all the replies. The smaller ones are certainly more convenient but most are not rated for very many cubic feet. Trying to get it done with one unit if possible. I imagine I could buy a bigger one and Frankenstein it. Good hints on the switches. Thanks all

    Tankless Dehumidifier

Does anyone know of a dehumidifier that does not incorporate a big reservoir? I see several commercial offerings but they are very pricy and overkill for my 40’ boat. Get rid of all the darn plastic surrounding a simple pump and filter and it would be a lot easier to hide in a smaller space I...

Which adhesive for mass loaded vinyl

I’m thinking that the small amount of airspace around and internal combustion engine may be needed to help the engine from overheating. I imagine that if a manufacture could make their engines that much quieter they would be doing it and advertising the lower decibel specs to promote their product.
