Starlink raised their price to $150.00

My guess as well is that they cannot geofence accurately along the coast. In particular the PNW. Too many islands that would be eliminated from land use by hugging the continental coastline. But anything possible I guess. Hope it doesn’t get to that.

    Cummins 6 bta 5.9 330hp

I have this exact set up. Cruising RPM 1350. 2.9 GPH for both engines. Speed 6.8 against strongest current and 10.2 going with the strongest current. Hope that helps. Great engines!!!

Sounds like the perfect to way to plan. 8 day layover in Santa Marie sounds just terrible. [emoji1]

I love Shelter Island. You’re right, the Marinas for the most part have pools, hot tubs and fitness centers. It’s like being at a resort for $1200 a month. Pretty hard to beat. I would do that deal in a heart beat with a live-aboard slip. Very cool pubs and restaurants all within walking...

Sounds like a great arrangement. You were able to get live aboard status sounds like. I would likely leave mine there as well. Must be great in the winter.

Seattle to San Diego and back

I have spent 4 years in San Diego sailing and getting to know the area. San Diego is part of the solution and I look forward to returning for a visit. I don’t see it as “price is an object”as a deterrence. Didn’t get to where I’m at by being foolish with money either. Not much difference...

Thats too bad about the restaurant. Seems unreal with a 600+ slip marina right there to go out of business. I have not looked up pier 32 or where its at. Must be past chula vista. That is pretty far in I agree.

I hear you. The journey is different for everyone. I as well would enjoy visiting the different ports on the trek. Suggesting an annual trip maybe was a poor choice. Making the trip every other or every three years would seem more reasonable. I need my solitude of the PNW.

Thanks Ken. I loved Harbor West. Had a sailboat there from 2012 to 2016. Loved that restaurant up the gangway that's right there. Lobster night was awesome. I called them today and they have a waitlist of about 25 on it right now. When they mentioned the 3 days over 7 day max overnight rule I...

Seattle to San Diego and back

Yes Mexico is being considered as well. I just called Harbor West in SD and they have this ridiculous rule of no more than 3 days in a consecutive 7 you can be at the boat. Most marinas I see have 14 days over 30. I asked if they prorate the fee since we can only be in the boat 3 days a week...

Seattle to San Diego and back

I have been searching for anything related to snowbirding in San Diego in the winter and summers in PNW. I understand the differences between the east and west coasts. I do understand that the west coast can be more dangerous than the east side and the reasons. But I also know when to pick...

Wanted Ocean Alexander 40-45, Tollycraft 44-45

I hear you. I had a Beneteau 473 In Ft Lauderdale that I wanted to move to Seattle once I moved. It was $25K for that. I sold it and bought here. Wish I would have shipped it. The price was 30%-40% more for the same boat. here. OA USA is based out of Seattle. Maybe give them a call. They may...

Wanted Ocean Alexander 40-45, Tollycraft 44-45

You realize Tollycraft and OA are from the Seattle area. You are eliminating a huge percentage of these boats in the US by not looking on the west coast. I have an OA 42.

    Autopilot for a trawler

I as well have the ComNav 1001. Tracks 100%. Likely original from 1988. I didn't know you send them in for a refurb. Will look into that. I believe they're out of Burnaby BC.
