Fuel today in Winchester Bay (Salmon Harbor) $1.75/Gal

I have a 48 tolly and it has Cummins 6BTA engines. This is the best you will get for space in the engine room. My knees are bad and I put carpet in the engine room and that reduced the pain to tolerable. Replace the Sherwood raw water pumps with SeaMax pumps and you should be good to go.

Thanks River Cruiser. I haven't started the job yet, I am still gathering parts. I looked at the vents and if I use snaps I can put them below the height of the vent louvers and this should not create a problem. Thanks for all the input, I hope your kindness is returned many times over...

Thanks for the reply, I think I will take the corner screws out of the vents and replace them with snaps, like those used on tops and rail covers and get some top gun material and install the female half of the snap for fastening. Thanks all for the help, first year live aboard job list...

I am trying to size The hydraulic pump for the Tolly 48'. does anyone have an idea on the cubic inches on that boats steering ram. It looks like they offer three sizes: type 1 is up to 11 cubic inches, type 2 is up to 22 cubic inches, type 3 is up to 30 cubic inches. Any Tolly helpers out...

Thanks for the input. I will see if the broker can get the measurments or part numbers of the steering cylinder. I have no personal preference and the boat has pot pouri for existing equipment. So Si-tex would be acceptable. I can forego the whistle and bells. thanks again, Greg
