    Hands on Training

We had 50+ hours with a captain on our boat when we first got her. Now whenever I do something a little different, I'll bring our captain back for training. This year we moved into a new slip. It's an end tie with both current and wind pushing us of the slip. My wife and I spent all day with...

TV Question - Life on the Hook

Be very cautious of any reality TV. It can easily destroy lives for the sake of a good story.

    Mobile Printer

If you use apple products (iPad or iPhone) I would consider getting a printer that has AirPrint. You can print directly from those devices. Comes in handy if someone sends you an email or text and you need a hard copy. We use it often we try to leave the laptop at home when we go to the boat.

How to build a network on your boat

Yes, thanks. Was answering caltexflanc question. Was responding from my phone but it did not use the quote. This is why I was so thrilled to read your thread. Trying to connect an Apple router was a pain and the cradle point or pep wave is a much better setup. Does the Cradlepoint allow for...

How to build a network on your boat

Agreed! can't thank you enough Kevin for posting this. I've spent several days trying to get an apple extreme to talk to my mifi. It's been killing me. I love the simplicity of the cradlepoint but why not make things more complicated::facepalm:. I'm in Long Beach and I have terrible cell...

    Underwater lights

I've read in a couple of forums that people who have done this were sometimes disappointed by the affect. There's a lot of reflection off the water and not a lot of light penetrates into the water.

These just came yesterday. The boat comes out at the end of December for a bottom painting. We'll install these at that time. Can't wait to see them in action.

What does your boat look like?

It's great to hear this. It's been our hope that we can create some great memories and keep our family close. So far so good. The kids never work so hard as when we are on the boat and yet they never complain. It's been over a year on the boat and it's been fantastic so far.
