Seahawks Cancel Last Day of Seattle Boat Show

Well, if this interrupts anyone's plans it might be worth mentioning that the New England Boat Show in February is an option. (go Pats!))

    Whats wrong with Bayliners?

I still think it's about name. Even General Motors said this is a" Vega" and this is a "Fleetwood". There is difference. Bayliner patched their name on all kinds of boats. To their detriment. This thread is a witness. "Meridian"? Too little too late because people are still asking questions.

Great Harbour N37 Young America at our dock yesterday

Mr. Codega! The reason I found the Trawler Forum was when I googled Great Harbour and you and Ken appeared in a thread here. So thank you. Also, to mention Phil Bolger and Jay Benford is meaningful. I knew you were good at the first sight of the N37.

    Whats wrong with Bayliners?

To be fair Kthoennes, I think the worst years for small Bayliner runabouts was the '80's. Picture those cheap plastic windsheids, paper thin gelcoat and cheap vinyl . Bayliner made no bones about it nor did their salesmen. It is what it is and it is priced accordingly. It made a lot of...

    Whats wrong with Bayliners?

Rumors of Bayliner quality or lack thereof don't come out of thin air. The day they nameplated 'Bayliner' on cheap entry level runabouts is the day their reputation suffered. That was their choice. They have put more people on the water than any other boat builder I can think of. That is to...

    My name's not Mat

In the very beginning Mat was the only person here. Then he got caught up in the anchor thread. It's a tragic sea story. Welcome

    Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! I asked Santa for a Trawler. I'm starting to worry that it may be held up at the Canadian border because of height issues.

    old "classic" boat prices

Well, I suppose Lucas has to enter the discussion. I used to ride a BSA and at 50 mph I swear I was outrunning the headlight. But I will always remember that bike with love. Go figure.

    lost a Florida Thread

The last time I lost a Florida thread it involved cut-off blue jeans and Key West. I suppose that is a different story for a different place.

    Aaaargh!

Man, you are taking the high road on the this one. Good on you, your attitude is commendable. But, it needs to be made right. In my State there is a department that offers free water testing kits for home owners. Pick up the kit and test, they will anaylize for a fee. Let 'em know what...

    Cold Molded

Yes, I picture 'cold molded' as much different than plywood on frame. I may be wrong, but i see cold molded as making your own 'layers' where plywood offers all the layers in one shot. I think they both can work well depending on the boat and intended use. There are many ways to skin the cat...

    Cold Molded

Keep in mind, CP, if you are going to remove the screws your bond is with the inside layer of the plywood only. Good epoxy and the best marine grade plywood can work. But many builders will leave the screws with plywood construction to add strength thru all the plywood layers. Go bronze and...
