    Free AC parts

Replaced my Mermaid AC Marine Air with a new one. The unit was about 8 years old but a wrongfully installed Shreader valve caused it to seize. Many good parts on the old unit. Control board, fan, condenser, electronics. Free but you pay shipping for what ever you want. hate to throw the thing...

    New construction: She:Kon

In the old days 65-68 I used a lot of wood dust from table saws and epoxy mix to fill seams. Than applied 2 layers of 2.5oz cloth over the wet saw dust.

bow thruster Did the same thing each time. I feel the 6 HP motor just raises havoc with the little screw and the plastic of the prop. I have a spare just in case, but will try some other form of fastening the prop to the shaft next spring

bow thruster I'm talking about the Schleipner bow thruster. It has only one 3/16 little allen set screw set into a detend at the end of the shaft. The torque from the 6 HP motor does a number on that little screw.

The set screw that holds the prop on the shaft has no ability to hold the prop in place. I replace 3 props in 2 years. This winter I'm having a new shaft made that will hold the prop on in a different way with a through bolt from the end.

    Halverson Address

I had the mailing address for Halversen in Australia until I changed my IP provider which caused me to loose a lot of my trawler information. Does anyone out there have a contact address for the gentleman in Australia. Thanks in advance

looking at the pictures of your ER lids/floors/decks, what kind of insulation do you have in there. Did you do it or did Halvorsen do that. I like to insulate the sound of my diesel some. Is that diamond plate aluminum under there or what. My winter project is painting the entire engine room and...

    Can I afford a KK42?

    Brass Step Plates

I wanted to stay in keeping with what Halverson did in the past. Somebody had removed the plates and I just had some made based on the originals. Having the plated would not look right. They have a nice patina right now and that is the way they will stay.

    Brass Step Plates

Some time ago I inquired about getting hold of some brass step plates for my IG. I received a picture from somebody on the list and had a model made via C&C. Found a foundry in my town that managed to cast me a number of plates which I installed on my boat and they look great. If anyone is in...

what a project...I build many a things in my days from my first skooter when I was 7 years old to gyro copters and fixed wing planes. But a boat inside a make shift tent under 10 feet of snow would stretch my imagination to the limits. You can be very proud of your accomplishment

    Great Lakes Kadey Krogen

My wife is pretty much in love with the Kadey Krogen 39 and 42 and I am wondering if there are any in the Great lakes regions that we could have a look at. We are based out of Spring Lake/Grand Haven with our Halverson 36 and consider an upgrade to something bigger. Not sure that's a wise move...
