Gwendoline is a beautiful 1932 Bridgedeck cruiser, custom designed by Helmut Schmidt and built by Dick Taylor on the shores of Lake Washington at Evergreen Point, Lake Washington, Seattle. A real head-turner, she's 34' long and her beam is 8-1/2'. Power is a single 4.3 Crusader gas engine with 1450 hours. She uses about 1.7 gallons an hour cruising along at 1800 RPM, doing about 7kts. 18,000# displacement.
Accommodations: Gwendoline has 2 bunks in the aft cabin and a traditional V-berth forward, with the cushion insert to make a large berth. The head boasts an original Wilcox-Crittendon toilet, completely rebuilt in the summer of 2015, as well as the original ceramic sink. Inside the head is another door to a large storage locker with ample shelving as well as a hanging rod.
Headroom is 6'2" throughout.
The settee in the wheelhouse has a foldout table custom built by the
previous owner so you can dine as a couple or entertain your friends. The
original icebox has been converted to storage cabinets, and there is a small
110 refrigerator just inside the V-berth which can stay as is or easily be
removed. There is also a 110/24v portable freezer. The galley has a double
stainless sink with hot and cold pressure water, and more storage than you
would expect on a boat this size, including a large pantry. There is also a
separate filtered faucet for drinking water. The previous owner added some
nice touches with leaded glass and carvings on cabinet doors. A Dickinson
diesel stove in the galley cooks your meals and also provides ample heat
throughout the boat. There is additional heat in the pilot house from a red
dot heater. An 11-gallon hot water heater runs off 110 or engine heat.
120 gallons fuel, 100 gallons water and 20 gallons wastewater.
Fuel, water and holding tanks were new in 1994.
Epoxy and fiberglass cabin tops repainted spring of 2015 with Interlux
Perfection, 2-part paint.
She has 2 Danforth anchors, and comes with a Penn Yan tender.
Gwendoline is a gorgeous boat, and we love cruising the Sound in her. We are now looking for something a bit larger, more suitable for extended cruising.
We will continue to enjoy Gwendoline while we search for her next caretaker.
December 2014 survey available.
Asking $45,000
