Unless I'm mistaken, even in 2005 they still used steel tanks in these. Is that something to be concerned about with a 2005. Boat is not a dock queen. almost 5000 hours on the engine and 12,000 on the genset. For the asking price, I'd be buried in this thing if I had to replace tanks or a genset anytime in the next few years. Thanks

Steel fuel tanks can go for many years. Some are still going well after 40 years. However they are the exceptions IMO. Our last boat had them and it was a 1987. They were fine when we sold it in 2021 but started leaking the next year per the new owner. I would be wary of any boat over 20 years with them. I would set aside the dollars to replace them because sooner or later they will start leaking. If you are not sure what they are made of look for a certification plaque on the tank. Or take a magnet to them, if it sticks the tank is steel. In 2005 I would assume the tanks would be aluminum, but maybe some builders were still using steel.

As to the genset, 12K hours is way up there. I would also set aside money to replace it sometime.
