2008 Helmsman 38/ Seville 37 water tank gauge

Sigh. Am I overly worried? Topping off water and in a hurry and so using full water pressure at the dock to fill. Got into the middle green "full" but hadn't heard any gurgling/sputtering so did another minute. Now over the green line and when you flip the gauge off it still reads over full. I thought I remembered that it goes to zero when the gauge is turned off. Have a broken something else now? sheesh, I just can't win.

I wouldn't worry about it until you start using water then see if the gauge moves corresponding with usage.

You people and all your fancy stuff. lol

I know when it is time to fill my water by how the boat sits in the water. With full water tanks my stern goes down a couple inches.
