If anyone is looking for a great little trawler, we are selling. She’s 30 years old, and I can give a rundown of every little thing that is “wrong” if anyone is interested, but there’s nothing major. In fact, we (well, Modutech) finally solved the problem with the electrical system — it ended up being the Xantrex charger, which is being replaced today with a 30amp 3-bank ProMariner unit by my mechanic.
We’re a little sad to see her go - we’ve had lots of fun with her. The problem is that the layout just doesn’t fit our needs (never did really — the reason we bought her was that we got such a great deal). If she had two full-time staterooms, we would not be selling.
We may end up being boatless for a few months this winter, depending on when she sells, but we are not getting out of boating. In fact the opposite — we are upgrading. Two staterooms are a requirement (and really the only one). A pilothouse is in the short-list of wants, along with an enclosed cockpit, enclosed flybridge, diesel heating, and a large, comfortable salon. We actually do want the dock queen.
