A simple Saturday at the anchor, surrounded by storms, in the wind, but what a beautiful day when anchoring in a desert bay alone in the middle of mother nature!

Funny fact:
Last night 4 Baja boats came to our marina for the night. Had a talk to the guys, they were amazed to learn that I was refueling twice a year (ok our boating year is actually 6 months) for 300$ each when he was spending 300$ each hour!
I love trawlers, oh yeah I love trawlers! :thumb:

What kind of anchor are you using?

Seriously, there's nothing quite like anchoring in a secluded, scenic spot in good weather.

As for the fuel burn, I agree with you. I have friends in the marina who spend $300 or more in fuel for a one day fishing trip.

Lou it sounds like you had a really awesome time. I love to be able to enjoy myself on the boat while other nature does her thing!

Indeed we had a wonderful weekend. A bit windy, quite fresh, but no rain and nobody around except birds and deers (on the shore not on the boat lol)

Some more pictures from yesterday evening after the wind just stopped blowing

Just feeling alone in the universe :)

I feel lucky to be among cruisers that only spend time at the marina leaving bays empty for us lol
