I am planning to have my locksmith re-key the three doors on our Mariner 37. He needs the lock barrel and key for each. While taking the screws out is easy, removing the outside and inside panel is less obvious. Guessing a sealant is holding each panel to the door while keeping water out. Prying may get messy and damage the beautifully polished stainless. What is the trick to removing these and which panel must come off to access the lock barrel? Doubt it's the outside, but I'm hoping someone here has experience.

I would use a heat gun on low or a hair dryer to soften adhesive... then gently pry using a stiff plastic scraper or such. Hopefully 3M 5200 was not used...

That's the same assembly as used on our 1990 Ocean Alexander! I took it apart some 15 years ago because water was leaking into the inside of the assembly, filling the cavity, and then leaking out around the inside plate, discoloring the wood trim on the inside of the door. I obviously removed both sides at the time. By the way, the leading edge of the OA door has an angled drain passage below the lock assembly cavity, which is supposed to take care of water that gets inside. It was clogged. Look for that when you get it apart. I'm very interested in the supplier for the assembly, and particularly for the key blank. (I haven't been able to find one....not even from Ocean Alexander).

That's encouraging. I have several keys for each lock and there are a few different brands. Most indicate BT or with a logo showing a V with a hand making a peace sign. My internet search did not turn up much detail, but a real locksmith should have no problem finding them.
